Disabling JavaScript in Safari
It is sometimes interesting to disable JavaScript on web pages for accessibilityreasons.
Caution: some web sites may not function as expected when JavaScript is disabled.
To disable JavaScript on Safari with Mac OS 15 Sequoia:
Go to Safari > Settings… > Security, then uncheck "Enable
JavaScript".
To disable JavaScript in Safari with Mac Os 12 Mojave:
Go to Safari > Preferences… > Security, then uncheck "Enable
JavaScript".
To disable JavaScript in Safari with older versions of Mac Os::
Go to Safari > Preferences... >Advanced, then check "Show Develop
menu in menu bar". Develop menu is then added to the menu bar and
contain the command "Disable JavaScript".
To create a blacklist of web sites for wich JavaScript will be
disabled :
Install the extension "JavaScript
Blacklist". Once the file has been downloaded, dubble clik to open
it (whith VoiceOver select the file then press Ctrl + Opt + Spacebar).
The extension will be install automaticaly.
Go to Safari
> Preferences... > Extensions then select "Javascript Blacklist".
Add the web sites in the text field "Block script from".
