    On Fano foliations

In this talk I will discuss Fano foliations on complex projective manifolds. I will concentrate on the class of del Pezzo foliations. These foliations have algebraic and rationally connected leaves, except for a well understood class of degree 1 foliations on projective spaces. I will also discuss the classification of del Pezzo foliations having mild singularities. This is a joint work with Stéphane Druel.

Characterization of varieties of Fano type via singularities of Cox rings

I will explain some characterization of varieties of Fano type in terms of the singularities of their Cox rings. In fact we show that every Mori dream space of globally F-regular type is of Fano type. As an application, we give the characterization. This is a joint work with Shinnosuke Okawa, Akiyoshi Sannai, Shunsuke Takagi.

On the structure of the Cremona groups

In this talk, I will describe the structure of the -dimensional Cremona group, which is the group of birational transformation of the projective space of dimension , showing that it is not an algebraic group of infinite dimension if , and describe the obstruction for this. To the converse, we can show the existence of a transcendental topology on the Cremona group which extends the one of its classical subgroups and makes it a topological group.

    Unitoric varieties

We discuss a generalization of toric varieties, amenable to similar computational and combinatorial techniques, but allowing, for instance, for moduli. These include many familiar spaces.
