    Linear series on abelian surfaces and rational curves on generalized Kummer manifolds

    Using degenerations, we produce special linear series on abelian surfaces. These can in turn be used to produce rational subvarieties of generalised Kummer manifolds. In the light of recent results on the Mori cone of these manifolds, we focus on linear series giving extremal rational curves and the geometry of the support of their classes.
